2020 FLSA Changes: What Employers Need to Know- Overtime and Exemptions Seminar
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has finalized its new federal overtime rules, which take effect January 1, 2020. The DOL estimates that the new rules will make an additional 1.3 Million American workers eligible for overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Join us on Thursday, December 5th for an update on the coming changes, which among other things, raise the standard salary threshold from $455 per week ($23,660/year) to $684 per week ($35,568/year). Employers will learn what steps to take to comply and some traps to avoid after the new rules take effect. Jane A. Kim, Labor & Employment Attorney, from Wright, Lindsey & Jennings will be facilitating this session.
