2023: Employment Law 101 - Manager and Supervisor Training
On Tuesday, February 14, Stuart Jackson of Wright Lindsey Jennings’ Labor & Employment Team will offer training for first-time supervisors and managers, those who are new to the HR function, or even those who simply need a refresher course. This 2 and ½ hour scenario-based training course will cover the legal basics that managers and supervisors should know including:
- Basic EEO law compliance
- Preventing & addressing harassment
- Wage & hour compliance
- Accommodations (including disability and religion)
- The top mistakes managers make
- How to deal with medical marijuana in the workplace
The training will also help attendees understand the importance of involving HR when potential employment law-related issues arise.
