Community School of the Arts: Ceramic Set Making
This is a ceramic class for anyone who has learned the basics of pottery. In a step up from beginner’s pottery, the ceramic summer art camp takes the student’s knowledge and allows them to build upon it. This is a time for creativity and fun, where students can make a tea pot and cup set, a plate and bowl set or a mug and sandwich plate set. We are talking about Madhatter tea pots, funny face mugs and bowls with surprises inside.
This camp will be taught at Central Presbyterian Church.
(Note: On the last day of ceramic’s camp, students will underglaze their leather hard pieces and then I will fire them when they are dry. Once the pieces have been bisque fired, I will clear glaze and glaze fire them. After they are finished, the students can pick them up from CSA. Clays and glazes will be food safe.)
