Great Ideas Summer Academy - JBU
What ideas make life worth living? In this week-long academy, high school students will investigate the ideas that matter, such as justice, truth, and beauty, by participating in seminar discussions, reading great texts, attending a performance at Walton Arts Center and touring the renowned Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The two daily class sessions will be led by faculty from JBU?s Honors Scholars Program, and in the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to interact with current Honors students at meals, study sessions, and evening activities. Moreover, students will stay in campus housing, share meals in the campus dining hall, and experience some of campus culture during that week. This year?s theme addresses the question: ?Is America a Christian Nation?? Students will receive a one-hour credit for an Honors Colloquium after completing the readings, academic sessions, and fulfilling the requested assignments. In order to participate, you must be a Junior or Senior and have at least a 3.0 GPA and either a 20 ACT or a 950 SAT (CR + M). Register today! Spots are filling up quickly!
