The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released updated information on reporting requirements and extended the deadline that will impact many businesses that received Provider Relief Funds (PRF).

If this is applicable to your business, the first step is to register for the portal at the link below. This process is expected to take approximately 20 minutes. Once your business account is set up, HHS will reach out at a later time to notify you of when the reporting should be completed. This reporting was originally due by 2/15/21, but has now been extended.

Businesses that received more than $10,000 total in PRF will be required to submit reports to HHS through the portal. This report is aimed at verifying that the funds were used for eligible purposes. Some of the information that will need to be reported includes healthcare expenses attributable to Coronavirus, lost revenues due to Coronavirus and outside funds received other than PRF. Entities that received more than $500,000 in PRF will be required to report certain data in greater detail. In addition, there will be nonfinancial data collected, such as personnel metrics, patient metrics and facility metrics.

More guidance about these reporting requirements is expected to be released. We will keep you posted as additional information becomes available. If you have any questions or need help with reporting, please contact us.
