Next Step Homeless Services' 8th Annual Honor and Duty 5K Race

Next Step Homeless Services is holding a virtual 5K run/walk event this year in order to raise funds for our homeless veterans at the 16 bed Buddy Smith Home- while still maintaining our social distancing guidelines.
This year's race can be completed by individuals and families anytime before June 6th, and everyone that pays the $30 registration fee and completes the 5K distance will receive a special commemorative medal and a special dri-fit t-shirt.
The link for the sign-up is listed below. We are encouraging our participants to honor their own special veteran by running/walking in our race, whether it be a family member, a friend or a neighbor.
All of the funds raised will go towards supporting the homeless veterans receiving services at the Buddy Smith Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Due to recent concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, this year’s Honor and Duty 5K Run is going virtual. Participants will complete the 5K run or one mile walk wherever and whenever they want on or before the event date. Runners can run/walk outside or indoors on a treadmill if they want.
All proceeds benefit the Next Step Homeless Services, which operates a day program for the homeless and transitional housing, including the Buddy Smith Home for Homeless Veterans. Register by May 31 to get a dry fit shirt!
