The IT Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a variety of IT systems. The role involves customer support, onboarding new clients, performing routine preventive maintenance, and collaborating on company-wide IT projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Salary Range: The salary for an IT Technician typically ranges between $30,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Cyberhelix Technical Solutions offers competitive pay within this range, along with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Client Onboarding and Support: Facilitate the onboarding of new clients by setting up user accounts, deploying hardware and software, and providing initial training. Deliver responsive and efficient support via phone, email, and in-person to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure user satisfaction.
• Preventive Maintenance and Technical Issue Resolution: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on desktops, servers, network devices, and phone systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and printer issues, applying updates, patches, and backups as needed.
• Documentation and Asset Management: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, support requests, resolutions, and IT changes using ticketing systems. Oversee inventory management of company assets such as computers, peripherals, and mobile devices, ensuring proper procurement and tracking.
• Software and System Management: Install, monitor, and maintain a variety of software systems, including endpoint security, email, and web security solutions. Ensure seamless system installations, configurations, and ongoing software updates to support company and client operations.
• Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Business Continuity: Assist in enforcing IT security policies and managing cybersecurity measures. Ensure systems adhere to security standards and contribute to safety and compliance protocols in line with company policies. Ensure regular data backups are conducted, verified, and properly stored. Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing to safeguard against data loss and maintain business continuity.
• Collaboration and Project Support: Work closely with the team on projects, system upgrades, and installations, ensuring alignment across initiatives. Participate in continuous improvement efforts by managing knowledge bases and contributing to team-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices to help protect clients' systems and data from threats. • Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record, as travel to client sites will be required.
