FORT SMITH, Ark. – Baptist Health-Fort Smith recently installed a new rooftop garden with hopes of addressing food insecurity among its patient population. The rooftop garden will produce fruits and vegetables, making it the first of its kind in the state and one of 25 in the nation. The garden is located on the roof of Marvin Altman Fitness Center on the Baptist Health-Fort Smith campus and is capable of holding 27 different crops. On December 18th, Santa will be doing free photos at Raising Cane's from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. We are also holding a fundraiser from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm that day with the Boy's and Girl's Club and 15% of the proceeds will be going to buy Christmas presents for the club.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company was named as the “Employer of the Year” by Goodwill Industries of Arkansas during their Gala for Good on Saturday, October 28th. The event was held to showcase the achievements of Goodwill’s program participants and thank their community partners.
