Arkansas True Vision Children’s Homes (ATVCH) will host its 4th Annual Golfing for Kids scramble

Arkansas True Vision Children’s Homes (ATVCH) will host its 4th Annual Golfing for Kids 4-person scramble October 7, 2024 at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. River Valley Chevy Dealers is the presenting sponsor for Golfing for Kids.

ATVCH is a not-for-profit Arkansas corporation affiliated with Family Ministries. The proceeds from this tournament are used to support this ministry which cares for abused and neglected children. This includes the Maggie House in Charleston and the Young Homes in Fort Smith, which provide both emergency and long-term foster care services. Last year’s tournament raised over $100,000.

Grant Neal, representative of River Valley Chevy Dealers, stated “We are pleased to support Golfing for Kids, as this annual event benefits abused and neglected children placed in the care of the Maggie House and Young Homes. This ministry has provided critically needed 24/7 emergency shelter, long term residential care, and foster care to over 700 children since 2015. This is a quality tournament and one that area golfers look forward to every year.”

The River Valley Chevy Dealers include Orr, Rhodes, Hug, Blue Ribbon, Whitson-Morgan and Bob Rogers Chevrolet. Other major sponsors are First National Bank of Fort Smith, ArcBest, Burton Pools & Spas, and Riverside Furniture. Lunch will be provided by Gusano’s Pizzeria. There are numerous Hole and Friend Sponsorships still available for those interested in supporting this ministry.

The Golfing for Kids 4-person scramble will include morning and afternoon flights, catered lunch and silent auction, with prizes and awards presented after the last flight. The registration fee for a team of 4 is $600. Individual registration is $150.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the three teams with the lowest scores in both the morning and afternoon flights, so everyone has more chances to win. There are five Hole-in-One Prizes, the top prize being a Chevy Silverado, as well as guaranteed awards for Closest to the Line. There is an optional putting contest for a donation of $20 with a chance to win $500. There is a new twist this year with an optional Hole-in-Two where a team can make a qualifying donation and have the opportunity to hole out Professional Long Driver Mitch Dobbyn’s drive on a Par 5 hole to win the trip of a lifetime to Pebble Beach.
