UAFS Move-In to Kick Off Thursday, Aug. 18
The excitement is building for students at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, where move-in weekend for on-campus housing will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, through Saturday, Aug. 20. During the three-day move-in extravaganza, more than 100 volunteers will help nearly 800 UAFS students settle into their homes, said Stephanie London, Assistant Dean of Students. “Move-in is a kick-off event for so many students,” London said. “Students have the opportunity to settle into their
‘Fill the Fridge’ Effort Brings Food to Residential Students at UAFS
The college students who will live in UAFS’s Sebastian Commons apartments will have some help keeping the fridge full this year.Thanks to a partnership between The Dave Stevens Lion Pride Pantry, the LionHeart student organization, and Antioch for Youth & Family, students in the apartments will receive deliveries of perishable and nonperishable food. UAFS Receives $1 Million in Regional Workforce Grants
Thanks to $1 million in grants from the Arkansas Division of Higher Education, the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will be able to amplify its commitment to workforce readiness and its partnership with area industries and employers.
