Coleman Efficiency Introduces Process Improvement, Logistics and DOT Support to River Valley Businesses

FORT SMITH, Ark. Coleman Efficiency LLC, an independent, vendor-neutral consulting business based in Fort Smith, is introducing its process improvement, logistics and operations consulting, and DOT compliance and regulatory management services to the River Valley business community. CE helps U.S. businesses understand recurring operational problems and put practical improvements into everyday use.

The work can include improving inventory accuracy and materials flow, clarifying office-to-floor and team-to-team handoffs, capturing employee knowledge, and developing usable procedures, work instructions and onboarding materials. CE works with small businesses and operational teams, including delivery operations, contractors, repair businesses, warehouses, distributors and manufacturers. Each project begins with the business’s actual needs and an agreed scope.

Focused starting projects include Inventory Accuracy Review, which examines an agreed sample of inventory discrepancies and the processes behind them; Office-to-floor Handoff Improvement, which clarifies information, responsibilities and next steps between teams; and Employee Knowledge Capture, which turns experienced employees’ practical knowledge into references that others can use.

For owner-operators and other U.S. businesses with applicable DOT requirements, CE offers review and administrative support within an agreed scope. Work can include helping determine which requirements apply, reviewing records for gaps, organizing driver, vehicle and carrier documentation, tracking applicable deadlines and expirations, and following up on corrective actions. A one-time review or setup project addresses agreed needs; ongoing administrative management is defined in a separate agreement. CE supports audit readiness and does not conduct official government audits.

John Coleman, Founder & Principal Consultant, leads operational assessment, analysis, process design and recommendations. Natalie Coleman, Operations & Communications Lead, leads CE's business operations, inquiries, onboarding, project coordination and client communication.

John and Natalie have been married for 15 years and have called the River Valley home their whole lives. Their backgrounds in operations, production, administration and communication inform how they work with businesses to make everyday processes clearer and more consistent.

CE follows an Observe, Define, Implement and Sustain approach, moving from understanding the work and defining improvements to supporting agreed process changes and checking their use in daily operations. The company is a member of the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce.
