Fort Smith Museum of History presents matinee-hour performances of Dr. Brandon Chase Goldsmith's one-act play, "The Western District" - a retelling of the 14 months and 21 days when Arkansas's Western District Court became the most corrupt in the nation - before the rule of infamous Judge Isaac Parker. Court is held in the notorious saloon known as "The Hole in the Wall." Judge Logan Roots is a crook. Marshals and deputies scam the feds out of more than $1 million to found a bank, and a New York lady novelist becomes an Arkansas investigative journalist on the edge of Indian Territory. See it all executed live in coordination with The River Valley Film Society, only at the Fort Smith Museum of History.
