International Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed annually in January, recognizes the victims of the Holocaust and serves as a means to remember and reflect on the events that took place between 1933-1945. In observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we will be hosting Lydia Klimuk, a Holocaust survivor who was interned in a labor camp with her family from 1944-45. Lydia was just five years old at the time & was taken from her home in Warsaw to Northern Germany. After being liberated in 1945, she spent the next few years in displaced persons camps with her family until they were sponsored to immigrate to the United States in the late 1950's. Please join us on Friday, January 30th at 6:00 pm at the Chaffee Crossing Media Center to hear her story. $5 donation requested at the door. Seating is limited so we ask that those attending register by emailing Chaffeecrossinghistoric@gmail.com or call/text 479-651-9917
