Lei Lei's 5k and Memory Mile

Lei Lei's 5K and Memory Mile is an annual event that raises funds for the While We're Waiting ministry. It was established in memory of 5-year-old Leightyn Nan Holmes, the daughter of Landen and Missy Holmes. Leightyn was diagnosed with a brain tumor on August 6, 2010, and less than 24 hours later, she went to sing and dance with Jesus. Leightyn's Lifesong has had a profound effect on people's lives since her passing, and this event is a big part of her continuing legacy. The Memory Mile gives bereaved parents (or grandparents, family members, or friends) the opportunity to sponsor a section of Lei Lei's 5K in memory of a much-loved child in Heaven.
