Dip Into Acrylics(grades 7-12)
For students who desire to "learn how to paint" we are offering beginning acrylic classes for junior high and high school students. This class requires good drawing skills, since we will focus on representational (realistic) painting to master the medium and various painting techniques. Therefore, students must enjoy drawing from life and picture references. Mastering realistic painting offers a standard which to judge progress with the medium and provides a good foundation in painting technique necessary for branching out into more expressive and experimental forms of art. Supplies required are a set of brushes, paper palette, and canvas paper, which will be provided to the student by CSA and covered in the tuition cost. All other paints will be supplied.
