Google Workshop & On-Site Verification
On June 19th, 2019, the Fort Smith CVB (Convention & Visitors Bureau) will host a digital education workshop on how to expand business exposure within Google’s products and improve conversion of digital audiences to actual customers.
The 2-hour workshop will begin at 10 a.m. at Creekmore Park Community Center (Azalea Room) located at 3301 South M Street in Fort Smith.
Led by Miles Partnership—a global destination marketing agency—the workshop is open to businesses that serve the area’s growing tourism and hospitality industry (e.g., hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc.). Miles Partnership will provide tactical training and how-to documents covering tips and best practices for getting the most out of opportunities within Google My Business.
Topics covered will include:
• Claiming and managing your Google My Business listing and account
• Obtaining and responding to business reviews
• Improving and removing photos and adding 360 images/videos
• Leveraging Local Guides
• Getting the most from Posts
In addition, on-site verification of Google My Business accounts will be offered during the workshop. If your business isn’t verified or you’ve lost access to your business listing, come to the workshop and get verified instantly, without having to wait for an automated phone call and postcard verification.
Attendees will need to bring one or more of the following documents to participate in instant verification: utility bill(s), tax letter(s) or business registration certificate(s). The documents must show the business name, address, and category (if possible). Login credentials to the Google account for your business will also be needed. Visit https://accounts.google.com/SignUp to create an account.
RSVP by calling Fort Smith CVB at (479) 783-8888 or send an e-mail to info@fortsmith.org and include (1) your name, (2) business name and (3) a good contact number.
This free workshop is made possible by Fort Smith CVB’s participation in the Google DMO (Destination Marketing Organization) Partnership Program—an initiative designed to expand the reach of a DMO’s content beyond its owned channels by providing the necessary tools and tactics to improve the completeness, quality and accuracy of destination content across Google Maps, Destination Travel Guides, the Google Trips app and more.
