Arts On Main Art Opening Reception

Opening Reception for Stephanie Lewis, Kaitlyn Danielson, and Azalia Molina

Friday, May 16
6-8 PM

With a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums on display, the Opening Reception for Stephanie Lewis, Kaitlyn Danielson, and Azalia Molina promises to be a must-attend event for art lovers of all kinds. Don't miss this chance to meet the artists, enjoy some light refreshments, and immerse yourself in the world of contemporary art. The exhibition will be on view May 10 through June 28, 2025.

Stephanie Lewis

Stephanie Lewis received her MFA in painting at the University of Arkansas in 1998. She is currently Chair of Visual Arts and Media at Northwest Arkansas Community College where she has taught since 1999. Her work has been shown regionally (multiple venues in Northwest Arkansas, Little Rock, and Tulsa) and nationally, notably, in Chicago. She has received awards for Drawing (Virginia Cammack Award for Best in Drawing/Pastel in the 20th Annual Artists of Northwest Arkansas Regional Exhibition), for Painting (Purchase Award in the 19th Annual Small Works on Paper Exhibition), and one of her linocuts was published in the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion 2009 Engagement Calendar. The work presented in this exhibition are part of a larger series called “Unsung Heroes” partially supported by a professional development grant by NWACC.

Kaitlyn Danielson

Kaitlyn Danielson is an artist based in the Catskill mountains of New York. Her practice is rooted in historic photographic processes where she relies on the fundamental ingredients of silver and light to produce an image. The sensitive and sometimes unpredictable nature of these processes mirrors the vulnerability of life that she grapples with in her work. Finding solace in visualizing life’s ephemerality, her photographs become a tangible, permanent record of her encounter with mortality.

Azalia Molina

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Azalia Molina is a multidisciplinary artist who uses ceramics, printmaking, and painting to reveal Latin America's culture, traditions, and social problems while exploring how these are preserved within immigrant households in the United States. Molina earned a BS in Art and Business from the University of the Ozarks in 2018, where she was awarded Outstanding Student in Art. She recently received the Mid-America Arts Alliance Artists 360 Practicing Artist Grant. Molina continues her creative career through commissioned work, public artwork, and leading her marketing agency, Clever, in NWA. Molina envisions establishing an outreach center aimed at providing youth with essential skills and art programs, preparing them for careers in the arts and communications.
