Silgan Plastic Food Containers - Operator Assistant
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Packages Work in Process (WIP) and finished product on production lines according to work instructions and/or customer specifications. Reworks nonconforming product.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Packages WIP and finished product from RTF and/or Printing lines
- Runs the scoring machine
- Reports any non-conformances noted during packing to the operator
- Reworks nonconforming product in accordance with documented work instructions
- Responsible for food safety
- Works 12-hour shifts standing on concrete
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Go up steps periodically throughout the day
- Work in the heat
- Performs other designated duties as assigned
- Conducts duties according to plant safety policies and procedures
