Cemetery Maintenance
```Duties and Responsibilities ```
- Knowledge in maintenance and groundskeeping, basic equipment, and the ability to prioritize tasks and follow directions.
-Must be able to use tools and equipment, frequently walking, standing, bending or stooping, and occasionally kneeling, climbing, crouching or crawling.
-Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and speak to cemetery patrons with professionalism and thoughtfulness.
- Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the care and keeping of the cemeteries, including mowing, weed eating, trimming, monument maintenance, and upkeep of mowers and tractors.
- Daily inspections of all properties, dumping trash cans, removing off season flowers and working on our long term projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work/shop area.
- Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of groundskeeping and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in maintenance work.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to operate zero turn lawnmower, weed-eater, and have experience operating a tractor.
This person will be working independently most of the time. Work times can be flexible after the job duties and responsibilities are shown to be understood.
