Inaugural “Doc” Collier Memorial Golf Tournament
Join us for a day of golf, camaraderie, and remembrance at the first annual “Doc” Collier Memorial Golf tournament, honoring SGT Russell “Doc” Collier, a brave combat medic with the Arkansas National Guard who volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the 39th Infantry Brigade in 2004. He was killed in action in October 2004 while rending aide to a mortally wounded fellow Soldier. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star Medal for his heroic sacrifice.
Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. 1st place, $2,000, 2nd place $1,500 and 3rd place $1,000.

This year’s tournament is specifically to raise funds to support the Foundation’s Education, Scholarship and Professional Development fund. Since 1967 the Foundation has awarded over 1.8 million in scholarships to Arkansas Guard Members, their Families and their Survivors. The Foundation is seeking to raise $50,000 for its 2026-27 scholarship program.
