Celebrating Cindy’s 40 Years at Harbor House Inc
On October 6, 1986, Cindy Stokes joined Harbor House, and over the next four decades she has witnessed tremendous change, serving under eight different CEOs and moving from Prevention to Director of GRC and ultimately Chief Compliance Officer.
She has seen everything from kerosene lanterns to AI, and paper records to the cloud, but through all that change, Cindy has remained a constant.
We do life-changing work at Harbor House. Some of us work directly with clients, while others support that mission behind the scenes. Cindy has done both, and she has persevered through the highs, the lows and everything in between.
It’s no surprise she became known as “Mother Harbor.”
And perhaps the greatest testament to her impact is that Harbor House named its second women’s house "Cindy’s House". That is a legacy that goes far beyond a job title.
We are so grateful for Cindy, for the difference she makes, the lives touched, and the legacy she has built at Harbor House.
