Job Title: Brake Press Operator
Location: Fort Smith, AR
Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour
Shift:

• 1st Shift | Monday – Thursday: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Mandatory Overtime on Fridays: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

A well-established manufacturing company in Fort Smith, AR is looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of verifiable brake press experience, be safety-focused, and have strong attention to detail. This is a full-time position with consistent hours, overtime, and long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate brake press machines to form, flatten parts, or install hardware based on job traveler instructions
• Ensure safe and proper loading of parts using tools such as tongs and light curtains (under supervision)
• Understand and follow job traveler documentation (training provided if needed)
• Use measuring instruments including calipers, protractors, and height gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings
• Perform basic machine maintenance
• Bend scrap material safely and efficiently
• Work closely with supervisors and follow direction as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable brake press experience
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings (will train on specific procedures if needed)
• Skilled in the use of basic measurement tools
• Strong commitment to safety and accuracy
• Must provide a current resume
• Must pass a criminal background check – clean record required
• Must pass a drug screen – including no THC
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be available for mandatory overtime
